Data Collection

LeadUp does not:

• Collect personal information
• Require accounts or login
• Use analytics or tracking
• Share data with third parties
• Contain advertisements
• Send data to our servers

Data Storage

Your data is stored on your device using iOS Core Data. This data includes:

• Event titles and times
• Step titles, offsets, and times
• Optional notes you add to events or steps
• Notification preferences

Your data is protected by your device's security features (file protection, encryption, and passcode/biometric lock).

iCloud Backup

LeadUp can back up your events to your iCloud Drive for safekeeping. This means:

• Backups are stored in your iCloud Drive, not on our servers
• We never have access to your data
• If iCloud is unavailable, backups are stored locally on your device
• You can manually trigger a backup or restore from Settings within the app
• Backups help you recover your data if you reinstall the app or get a new device

Your data remains private—it's stored on your device and optionally in your iCloud Drive under your Apple ID. We cannot read, access, or modify your events.

Pro Status Cache

To support offline access, we cache your Pro upgrade status locally on your device for up to 7 days using iOS UserDefaults. This cache is automatically refreshed when your device is online. This cached data never leaves your device.

Notifications

LeadUp uses local notifications (scheduled on your device) to remind you of events and steps. These notifications are processed entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.

In-App Purchases

LeadUp offers an optional Pro upgrade purchased through Apple's App Store. All purchase transactions are processed by Apple, not by us. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. We only receive confirmation from Apple that you have purchased the Pro upgrade, which we use to enable Pro features in the app.

File Sharing

LeadUp allows you to export events to .leadup files (JSON format) that you can share with others via email, messaging, AirDrop, or file sharing services. When you export or import a file, the data is transferred directly between devices using iOS file sharing features. We do not receive, store, or have access to exported files. Any sharing is done through third-party services you choose (email, messaging apps, etc.), and those services' privacy policies apply to that data.

Data Retention

Your local data is stored on your device until you delete it. When you delete an event, step, or note, it is removed from your device.

Backup data: When you create a backup, that backup file remains in your iCloud Drive (or local storage) until you create a new backup, which replaces it. Deleting the app removes local data but does not automatically delete backup files in iCloud Drive. You can manage iCloud storage in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage.

Third-Party Services

LeadUp uses only Apple's built-in frameworks and services:

• Core Data: For local database storage on your device
• iCloud Drive: For optional backup storage (your data stays in your iCloud account)
• StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases (handled by Apple, subject to Apple's privacy policy)
• UserNotifications: For local notification scheduling (processed on your device only)

We do not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools.

Children's Privacy

LeadUp does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, if required, by posting a notice in the app or on our website.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• You can delete all local data by deleting the app
• You can manually create and restore backups from the app's Settings
• You can manage iCloud Drive storage in iOS Settings
• You can export your data using the app's export feature
• There is no data on our servers for us to access, modify, or delete
